The Lunenburg Library gardens are (quite literally) buzzing! We were so excited to spot a Bombus fervidus (golden northern bumblebee), an at-risk species in Massachusetts. B. fervidus was camera shy but we did manage to snap a picture of what we believe to be Bombus vagans (half black bumblebee).

The strawberries we potted in May are starting to bear fruit!

The corn has emerged in our Three Sisters Garden. This is calico popcorn, an heirloom variety. When they get bigger, the stalks will support scarlet runner beans. The large leaves of butternut squash will help suppress weeds and keep the soil moist.

Calling all babysitters AND families!!

Join us for a "Babysitter Fair" where babysitters can advertise their services and connect with families. Parents and guardians need not register, just stop by to connect with a local babysitter!

- If your registration is accepted, please show up between 10AM and 10:45AM to ensure we/you have enough time to set up.

What do you carry all your Summer Reading books in? A Summer Reading tote bag, of course! 📚☀️

Our community room was buzzing with creativity yesterday as kids designed their very own book totes to take along on summer adventures.

From silly monster patches and sparkling gems to colorful rainbows, flowers, stars, fabric initials, and one-of-a-kind artwork, each tote was as unique as its creator!

We can't wait to see these colorful creations filled with great books all summer long.

Summer Reading 2026 Grand Finale: After Hours LED Mini Golf and Video Games!
Come to the Library for a summer reading program finale you won't forget!

One Up Games will be here offering 9-holes of mini golf (inside the library) along with a variety of video games on different consoles. Be here for the last hour after the library closes when we'll be kicking the LED lights on to play mini golf in the dark!
