Wild Choices — New Youth Program from LEAF!
We are excited to announce Wild Choices, a brand new nature-based program for middle school youth launching this summer!

Adolescence can feel wild. This program is designed to help youth slow down, trust themselves, and make intentional choices while building confidence, connection, and resilience through nature-based survival skill experiences.

When: Tuesday, July 7 through Friday, July 10, 2026
Time: 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. each day
Where: Bohn Park
Who: Middle school youth (entering or exiting is welcome)
Cost: Free, grant funded

Participants who complete the program will receive a $25 gift card!

Space is limited. We would love to have your middle schooler join us this July.

Know a teen who could use a breath of fresh air this summer?

Unbridled YOU is a free four-session series for youth ages 12–17 that combines horses, art, and outdoor adventures to help kids build confidence, make connections, and have a genuinely great time doing it.

Sessions run Monday evenings June 1, 15, 22, and 29 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. Spots are limited and it's completely free thanks to support from Boulder County. Complete 75% of the program to be eligible for a $100 gift card.

We're partnering with the good folks at LEAF, Lyons Elevating All Fund to help out with the food drive they are doing with Lyons Backer Football Club and CEMEX for our show this Saturday at Oskar Blues Grill & Brew Lyons. Big news from LEAF! We have expanded our office hours and are now open Monday through Thursday, 9am to 3pm.

Our food pantry continues to serve the community every Wednesday from 3:30 to 6pm.

With our expanded hours, there are more opportunities to:

- Drop off food donations
- Come in for assistance
- Learn about our programs, including Meals on Wheels, Project Homecoming, therapy services, and basic needs support

Whether you are looking to give or need a hand, our doors are open. Stop by, say hello, and find out how we can help or how you can get involved. We are grateful for this community and everyone in it.

Community is at the heart of everything we do, and that means joining forces with the people and organizations who care just as deeply about our neighbors as we do.

We are proud to partner with the Lyons Backer Football Club and CEMEX for an ongoing food drive to help resupply our shelves and make sure no one in our community goes hungry. This is teamwork in action, and we could not do it without partners like these.

Whether you drop off at one of our many convenient locations or give online, every contribution makes a real difference for the families we serve. Our shelves need restocking, and together we can make that happen.

The morning air was crisp, but that didn't slow anyone down. Over 40 volunteers showed up and showed out, making Lyons a little greener and a lot cleaner. It was one of those mornings where you remember why community matters.

A huge thank you to the Town of Lyons Colorado Government for retrieving our full bags and helping with supplies, this kind of event only works when we work together, and your partnership made all the difference.

Who knew trash picking could put this many smiles on people's faces? See you out there next time.

Spring is here and it's time to freshen up our town!

Join LEAF and the Town of Lyons for our Spring Community Clean-Up Event on Saturday, April 25 from 8 to 10:30 AM. Gather with your friends, family, and neighbors at Bohn Park to help collect trash and debris around town. Children are welcome and it's a great way to get outside and give back together.

Bring your work gloves, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and water — and don't forget your own mug for free Mudhut Coffee on us! Trash bags and grabbers will be provided.

After the clean-up, stick around for the Lyons Earth Day Expo (10am-2pm) and Orchard Blossom Festival and learn about pollinators, recycling, electric vehicles, wildfire mitigation, and more.
