The 2026 Community Police Academy is your opportunity to get an inside look at policing while building relationships with the officers who serve our community.

This free, hands-on program provides participants with a better understanding of police operations, specialty units, and the many ways the Maple Grove Police Department works to keep our community safe.

The academy meets Tuesday evenings from September 8 through December 1, 2026, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Maple Grove Government Center.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old (or younger with a parent/guardian or signed waiver), live in Maple Grove or own a home or business in the city, and successfully complete a background check.

Hurry, class size is limited.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Cops & Cones! We had a fantastic turnout and enjoyed spending the evening visiting with so many members of our community.

A special thank you to Culver's and Hy-Vee for their support and hospitality in helping make the event such a success. We also enjoyed partnering with the Corcoran Police Department for a fun evening of community connection.

Events like Cops & Cones give us the opportunity to visit, build relationships, and connect with the communities we serve in a relaxed and fun setting.

Last week, a great group of seniors participated in the 2026 Maple Grove Police Senior Community Academy!

Participants got an inside look at the many aspects of law enforcement and learned more about the work our officers and partners do every day. Topics included investigations, K-9, drones, traffic stops, DWI enforcement, Hennepin County Dispatch, and much more!

We appreciate everyone who took the time to participate, ask questions, and engage with our officers and staff. Thank you for helping strengthen the connection between the Maple Grove Police Department and our community!

Today marks 37 years since Amy Sue Pagnac disappeared.

While decades have passed, the Maple Grove Police Department has never stopped searching for answers. We remain committed to pursuing every lead and bringing resolution to Amy's family.

We believe someone may still have information that could help. Even the smallest detail—or something you may not have thought was important at the time—could make a difference.
