Freedom Prep Academy - Memphis Freedom Preparatory Academy is a public charter school established in 2009.

Freedom Preparatory Academy Charter Schools: A network of five schools in Memphis, TN, serving PreK-12 students, and a K-5 campus in Birmingham, AL, dedicated to preparing all students for college and life. The mission of Freedom Prep Academy is to prepare all students in grades Pre-K - 12 to excel in college and in life. Freedom Prep offers an individualized and rigorous instructional program for

each of its students with a diverse array of academic enrichment activities. For the past two years, Freedom Prep has earned the title of the #1 Tennessee Public School for Reading/Language Arts Growth and Top 50 for Math Growth in Tennessee. Additionally, Freedom Prep Academy is the #1 Performing Public Middle School in Whitehaven/Westwood for Composite Growth with average growth scores more than double of those of surrounding neighborhood schools. Freedom Prep is a member of the Excellent Schools Network (ESN), a select group of schools that have demonstrated strong academic results, sound organizational practices, and the genuine ability to close the achievement gap in their communities. Because of their outstanding academic and organizational performance, these schools have been chosen for further investment and support from Building Excellent Schools.
