MSCIAA Fever

WELCOME TO PRICEMART!
Where the shelves are stocked, the detectives are on the case, and MATH IS EVERYWHERE!

Our 5th grade scholars kicked off the school year with an engaging project-based learning experience in Ms. Price’s classroom…better known as PriceMart!

Students became Math Detectives, completing tasks throughout the “store” to investigate and identify where math shows up in everyday life. From prices and quantities to measurements, comparisons, and problem-solving, our scholars discovered an important lesson: Math doesn’t just live in a textbook…it lives ALL AROUND US!

Experiences like this help students understand why mathematical concepts matter while building curiosity, collaboration, and excitement for the learning ahead.

Shout out to our phenomenal 5th Grade Math Teacher, Ms. Price, for transforming her classroom into an experience and making math meaningful, relevant, and FUN!

Our 3rd grade scholars wrapped up the MSCS in the Community 1st week curriculum by completing their final projects! Throughout the week, students explored the people, places, history, and stories that make our community special.

But the learning went far beyond the content! This 1st week experience also gave our scholars meaningful opportunities to practice classroom systems and routines, strengthen ELA collaboration protocols, communicate their thinking, and learn how to work successfully with their peers.

We’re building knowledge, building routines, building community, and setting the foundation for an incredible year of learning!
