Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the enduring contributions of African Americans to our communities and nation.

In observance of the Juneteenth holiday, the Shelby County Division of Community Services and its offices will be closed. We encourage everyone to take time to reflect on the significance of this day and honor its history.

Today reminded us why we do what we do. 🤠❤️
Our annual retreat was filled with laughter, connection, inspiration, and reflection. We celebrated our wins, strengthened our team, and refueled our hearts for the work ahead. When your mission is serving others, it takes dedication, compassion, and a whole lot of heart.
