🎃🧠 A LITTLE HALLOWEEN FUN WITH A LOT OF SCIENCE! 🦴🫀
Mrs. Wilkinson’s Anatomy class brought learning to life with a special Halloween lab for our 6th graders! Students explored the different body systems through hands-on activities, spooky science, and plenty of opportunities to learn something new.
From brains to bones and everything in between, it was a fun way to discover just how amazing the human body really is! 👀🫁🦴
Who says science can't be a little spooky? 👻

🧠👁️ Learning Science Through Hands-On Exploration! 🔬
Mrs. Wilkinson’s anatomy students have been studying the nervous system and taking their learning to the next level with a hands-on dissection of a cow eye!
Students had the opportunity to explore the structures of the eye, identify its different parts, and discover how this incredible sensory organ works with the nervous system to help us see and interpret the world around us.
There’s nothing quite like bringing biology to life through real-world, hands-on learning!

Mrs. Webb’s 8th grade science students put their “beaks” to the test during a bird beak simulation lab! 🐦🔬

Students used tools to represent different types of bird beaks and tried collecting different kinds of “food.” They compared which beaks worked best for each food source and discovered that a beak that is great for one type of food may struggle with another!

This hands-on activity helped students explore how variations in beak shape can affect a bird’s ability to find food and survive. It brought adaptations and natural selection to life as students learned how available food can give certain birds an advantage in their environment! 🐾
