Meet Remy - Pet of the Week

Remy is a very handsome 33lb. Carolina mix pup, who's about 6 months old. He is lively with normal puppy energy, and like most his age, is a bit of a jumper and climber... but he's great at walking on a leash. Remy is super friendly and loves getting lots of pets. He had an injured leg, but he's all fixed up and ready to be your forever friend. Pet availability can change. Please contact the shelter for current availability. On October 9 & 10, its history comes to life during the 16th Annual Mesquite Meander. Walk through the cemetery and meet costumed actors portraying real people from Mesquite’s past—all through stories based on authentic historical research.

Concrete paving continues on La Prada Drive from N. Galloway Ave. to Barnes Bridge Rd., marking a major step forward in the reconstruction project. The contractor is using a slipform paver to continuously place and shape the new concrete roadway, as paving progresses through this section. Once this paving section is complete, a traffic shift is expected in September, so construction can continue on the opposite side of the roadway.
