When you put a group of firefighters, departments, and industry partners in one place with the same goal—making our firefighters safer and our communities stronger—good things happen.
Mesquite Fire Rescue was proud to host and train alongside Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, Henderson Fire Department, Clark County Fire Department, North Las Vegas Fire Department, Santa Clara-Ivins Fire & Rescue, Hurricane Valley Fire District, Washington City Fire Department, and Beaver Dam-Littlefield Fire Department.
We also want to thank the local and state companies that showed up to support this training. Events like this don’t happen without partners who believe in the mission and are willing to invest their time, equipment, and expertise. It truly takes a team.
A special shoutout goes to KnightTek Solutions, who made the trip all the way from Oklahoma and brought multiple training props, including an EV vehicle. Their support gave firefighters the opportunity to get hands-on experience with one of the fastest-growing challenges facing the fire service today—lithium-ion battery incidents.
As technology evolves, so do the hazards we face. What stood out during this training wasn’t just the equipment or the scenarios—it was the people. Firefighters, instructors, and industry professionals working together, sharing ideas, testing tactics, and pushing to find better solutions.
The fire service has never been about one department having all the answers. It’s about working together to find them.
Over the course of this training, one thing became clear: there are a lot of smart, motivated people committed to finding solutions to the challenges ahead. That’s exactly how we continue moving the fire service forward.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this training a success. We look forward to continuing these partnerships and building on what we learned together.
