Camillus House

Camillus House Camillus House has provided humanitarian services/programs changing lives of the homeless since 1960

Established by the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd in 1960, Camillus House has grown steadily over the years from a small overnight shelter into a full service center offering a full “continuum of care” for persons who are poor and homeless. Every service offered at Camillus is carried out with the deeply held belief that every human being is precious in the eyes of the Lord and deserves love

, respect, and a chance to live a dignified life. Camillus does much more than offer a free meal, medical care, a shower, or drug treatment. It offers a second chance to the desperate, the lonely, and the ones society has left behind. Many of the clients who come to Camillus House have nowhere else to go. They have no friends, no family, and no loved ones to help them through their times of trouble. Camillus House becomes their family, giving them the hope and support they need to begin the long, difficult transition to a new life and self-sufficiency.

We are deeply grateful to The Boeing Company for its generous $25,000 grant in support of our veterans programming, and to Danielle Getty, Boeing’s Senior Community Investor, for joining us at Camillus House.

This investment will help us continue providing housing, case management, counseling, employment assistance, and other critical services that help veterans successfully reintegrate into the community.

No one who has served our country should face homelessness upon returning home. Thanks to partners like Boeing, we can continue helping Veterans access the tools, resources, and support they need to rebuild their lives and achieve long-term independence. 🇺🇸💙

As the 2026 FIFA World Cup is just weeks away from kicking off in Miami, Camillus House CEO Eddie Gloria joined Christian Colón on NBC 6 and Telemundo 51 to discuss heightened concerns around human trafficking tied to major international events, and what Camillus House is doing to prepare.

Anticipating an increase in survivors needing immediate support during the World Cup, Camillus House has added more than 50 beds for men and women expected to be rescued and brought into care.

During the interview, Eddie urged the public to stay alert to potential warning signs of trafficking, including controlling behavior, situations where someone appears unable to speak freely, or older individuals accompanying much younger people.

“You might see control tactics where this person is deciding if that person can have a conversation with you,” Eddie explained. “The physicality of that couple shows you that maybe the man is trying to control how far she can go.”

As Miami prepares to welcome millions of visitors from around the world, Camillus House remains committed to providing safety, dignity, and hope for the most vulnerable individuals. 💙
