We are grateful to the Broken Chains Project by GiGi for spearheading the Care for Comfort Service Drive, a heartfelt initiative created to provide comfort and essential items to the clients we serve at Better Way of Miami, Inc.

The Broken Chains Project by GiGi is collecting much-needed items to help bring a little extra comfort, dignity, and care to individuals currently receiving treatment at our facility.

If you, your family, organization, or community group would like to participate and support their efforts, all donations are greatly appreciated!

We’re grateful for every donation that’s come in for the cafeteria renovation, and we need many more to make it happen. Right now, this room is where meals, meetings, and milestones all happen, in a space that hasn’t kept up with everything we ask of it. The renovation will give our residents enclosed, air-conditioned rooms to meet, learn, and rebuild in. Swipe through to hear what the space means to them, then help us build it. This is more than just a room.

It’s where our residents gather for meals, connect with others, meet with staff, and take important steps toward rebuilding their lives. For many, Better Way of Miami is the place where hope begins again.

But recovery requires more than determination. It requires safe, comfortable, and private spaces where individuals can sit with a counselor, speak openly, feel heard, and have the conversations that can truly change the course of their lives.

We believe our residents deserve that space.

This summer, we are asking our friends, supporters, community partners, and neighbors to help us raise $30,000 by August 31 to transform our cafeteria into air-conditioned, private meeting spaces designed to better support healing, dignity, and recovery.

Every gift matters. Whether it’s $10, $25, $100, or more, your donation brings us one step closer to creating a space where meaningful conversations can happen and lives can continue to change.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward this renovation. Nothing else.

For 42 years, Better Way of Miami, Inc. has stood as a beacon of hope, healing, and second chances.

Our mission has always been rooted in one purpose: to help individuals reclaim their lives and successfully reintegrate into society with dignity, purpose, and hope.

Recovery isn’t just about overcoming substance use, it’s about restoring families, rebuilding confidence, healing trauma, and reminding every person that their story isn’t over. Every life we touch represents another opportunity for transformation.

Mental health affects every one of us. It doesn’t discriminate based on age, gender, race, or background. Men and women alike deserve a safe place to heal, to be heard, and to receive the support they need without fear or judgment.

At Better Way of Miami, we believe that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Whether you’re beginning your recovery journey, supporting a loved one, or simply searching for hope, know that you are not alone.

“A Better View”

Better Way of Miami Inc. is proud to introduce “A Better View”
a powerful glimpse into the future of care, dignity, and opportunity for individuals experiencing homelessness. Our new Navigation Center is nearing completion and will soon open its doors to serve the Miami-Dade community.

Today marked a major milestone as our CEO and Board of Directors welcomed representatives from the Homeless Trust for an on-site visit and media interview. Together, they toured the facility, discussed the center’s impact, and shared the vision behind this transformative project with a local news station.
