Aileen Bouclé, AICP, Miami-Dade TPO Executive Director, presented during the statewide “Innovations in Metropolitan Transportation Planning” webinar hosted by Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Office of Policy Planning, alongside transportation agency partners from Broward MPO and FDOT District 1.

Executive Director Bouclé highlighted the TPO’s Transportation & Mobility Innovation Program, “Innovate. Collaborate. Connect.,” aimed at building the future of mobility in Southeast Florida.

The Transportation & Mobility Innovation Program promotes next generation technologies that improve safety, reduce congestion, and expand mobility options in Southeast Florida. The vision is set to accelerate transportation innovation by fostering collaboration, embracing new and emerging technologies, and delivering safer, smarter, and more connected mobility solutions for future generations. This program collaborates with transportation agencies, government partners, academia, and industry leaders to deliver key solutions for emerging transportation technologies.

The Underline hosted a community bike ride at The Underline’s Brickell Inter Stage, located underneath the Metrorail.

During the event, the Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) staff provided helmet fittings for more than 30 community participants. The event also featured a five-mile bike ride along The Underline.

Miami-Dade TPO was represented by Jerry Jackson Jr., Transportation Planner 2, and Alexandra “Ally” Scroggin, Mobility Planner 1.
