We start off our Fridays in the best way with our Heritage Football Readers! It was a great first day with them and we are looking forward to a great football season. We’ll be there cheering them on!

We had another great week! Reminder, next Friday, September 4th is a Pink Day (No School) and Monday, September 7th is a holiday. Please see the graphic below.

Amplify testing continues next week for Kinder - 2nd grade. Students will be pulled individually by their teachers to be tested for phonemic awareness, phonics and other foundational reading skills. We just wanted to put this on your radar if they come home speaking about it. It is a district assessment that is required for all students to be administered at the beginning, middle and end of the year.

MAP Testing will begin next week for grades 2-5 in Reading/Math/Science and K-1 for Math.

Our 5th graders created their own “All About Me” shoes and set goals for the year ahead. I love seeing their personalities, hopes, and big dreams displayed right outside the classroom. 💛

Today we recognize Women’s Independence Day and commemorate the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, which guaranteed women the right to vote. 🇺🇸
