Village of Milford, MI The Village of Milford, Michigan is a community of 6,520 located in southwest Oakland County. The Village boasts six parks within its boundaries.

The Village of Milford is 2.5 square miles nestled in southwest Oakland County and is easily accessed from both I-96 and M-59. With a population of approximately 6,300, the Village serves as the central business district for approximately 25,000 people in the surrounding areas. The thriving downtown district draws visitors from communities such as Ann Arbor and Dearborn, while retaining its small-town charm. Central Park, located on the banks of the Huron River, is a favorite with the children and teens who enjoy the playscape, basketball courts, tennis court, volleyball court, and ice rink. Fairgrounds Park is adjacent to the Senior Center for easy access to a picnic area and shuffleboard courts. Hubbell Pond Park is the site of the YMCA and Library, and a trail system that runs from Commerce Road all the way to Kensington Park on South Milford Road.

The final Recycling Authority household hazardous waste collection event of 2026 takes place this Saturday, October 24th in Southfield from 9a - 2p. Residents of any RRRASOC member community, which includes both the Village and Milford Township, MI, may participate.

Household Hazardous Waste Events RRRASOC residents can attend any of the HHW events. Electronic Waste is accepted at all HHW events

Update from Priority Waste regarding collection today (10/20):
Yard Waste and Recycling will be collected by the end of the day today, but due to an equipment issue the areas west of S. Main St. and south of General Motors Rd. will be delayed for trash pickup until tomorrow, October 21st.

The Milford High School Homecoming Parade is this afternoon on Main Street, with the road closure starting at 4:00 p.m. The parade starts at 4:15 p.m.

The road will reopen immediately following the parade. Please follow posted detours.

REMINDER TODAY IS THE HOMECOMING PARADE DOWNTOWN. The parade will begin at 4:15 p.m.

Parade participants - please park in the downtown Milford area and walk to Central Park. The Central Park ENTRANCE will be closed and only those vehicles in the parade will be permitted to park in Central Park. THE DOWNTOWN AREA WILL BE BUSY SO PLEASE PLAN AHEAD.

We are so fortunate to have a supportive village and community that allows the opportunity to showcase our school pride. Please be respectful to our village, our police department, and school officials.

Get ready… HHW Collection events are returning in October! On Saturday, October 3rd, RRRASOC community members can bring their household hazardous waste, e-waste, and documents for shredding to the Novi Department of Public Works located at 26300 Lee BeGole Drive in Novi from 9am to 2pm. We’ll see you there!

The Annual Department of Public Services Open House is underway. We’ve shifted many of the trucks inside to keep our visitors dry this morning. Glad to be joined by our friends at the Recycling Authority, Milford Police Department - Milford, Michigan, Milford Fire Department, Oakland County, Michigan Government, and Priority Waste.
