Through the first five months of 2026, Carlisle Fire Company volunteers have responded to 379 fire calls.

These incidents have included everything from alarm activations and motor vehicle collisions to building fires, medical assists, and other emergencies throughout our community and surrounding areas.

Behind each response is a dedicated team of volunteers who continue to train, prepare, and answer the call whenever help is needed.

Thank you to our members, mutual aid partners, and the community for your continued support throughout the year.

When the call comes in, every second counts. During May, Carlisle EMS responded to 505 calls for service with an average response time of 1 minute, 31 seconds.

Our busiest day was Sunday, and the busiest hour of the month was 2:00–3:00 PM. Through May, our EMS crews have responded to 2,725 calls in 2026.

Thank you to our dedicated paid staff and volunteer members who work together each day to provide emergency medical care to our community.

Carlisle Fire Company volunteers responded to 62 fire calls during May, bringing our year-to-date total to 379 incidents.

May responses included 23 alarm activations, 14 auto collisions, 2 building fires, 2 medical assists, and 21 other emergencies throughout our response area and surrounding communities.

May's 62 responses tell only part of the story. Behind every incident is a volunteer willing to answer the pager, respond from home or work, and help a neighbor on what may be one of their worst days.

During National EMS Week, it was especially meaningful to see several of our Carlisle career staff recognized last evening at the Kent County Sudden Cardiac Arrest Reunion. These moments are powerful reminders that the work our EMS providers do truly changes — and saves — lives.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening so special, and thank you to our EMS professionals for the compassion, skill, and dedication you bring to every call. We are proud of you!

Carlisle Fire Company volunteers have answered 317 fire calls so far in 2026, including 66 calls during April. In April alone, our volunteers responded to 21 alarm activations, 9 auto collisions, 7 medical assists, and 4 building fires, along with many other emergencies throughout our community.

Every call represents volunteers leaving work, family, and sleep behind to answer when help is needed. Thank you to our members and to the community for your continued support.

🚑 EMS Calls for April 2026 🚑
Our EMS crews answered 396 calls during the month of April, with 355 patients transported to the hospital — nearly 90% of all EMS responses.
📍 317 calls occurred within the city limits
⏱️ Busiest time of day: 9 AM – 10 AM
📅 Busiest day of the week: Wednesday
🚨 EMS units responded in under 1 minute nearly 48% of the time
Year-to-date, our department has responded to 2,220 EMS calls in 2026.
These numbers represent much more than statistics — they reflect the dedication of our EMS staff and volunteers who answer the call every day and night to serve our community. Thank you to all of our EMS personnel for your professionalism, compassion, and commitment to the citizens we serve.

When the call comes in, speed matters. In March, our crews were rolling within 2 minutes on 81% of all calls. —thanks to a strong team of paid EMTs and volunteers working together to serve our community.
