The House finally voted to check President Trump’s ability to wage his illegal war in Iran with a War Powers Resolution. Americans can’t keep picking up the tab for this war.

Both the House and Senate have reaffirmed what the Constitution says: Congress alone has the power to take us to war. Not a tyrannical president. Trump ought to listen, and if you send me back, we'll make sure he does.

Utah voters: your primary ballots are in the mail! Here’s what you need to know:

1. Check your mailbox for your ballot: registered Democrats will have already received one. If you haven’t, you can request one by June 16.

2. Fill in the bubble next to “Ben McAdams” at the top of your ballot!

3. Make sure to mail your ballot back ASAP. All ballots MUST be received by 8PM on June 23rd.

Pride is a noun, but it's also a call to action. The Trump Administration is rolling back protections and pitting ideology against our LGBTQ+ neighbors and undoing decades of progress that Americans fought for with blood, sweat, and tears. Our state needs a proven fighter who'll protect Utahns' right to love whomever we choose and proudly.

I believe deeply that love must always triumph over hatred. Throughout my career, I fought to secure LGBTQ+ nondiscrimination protections that have helped make Utah a more welcoming place, and I'll keep fighting for our LGBTQ+ neighbors like I always have if you send me back to Washington.

I believe in a woman's right to choose. There's no spin here — I always have. I've been called "radically" pro-abortion and have been endorsed by Planned Parenthood for my pro-choice record in the State Senate.

Vote for me, and I'll keep doing what I always have done: stand up for choice, no matter what the cost.

So proud of this kid!

For years, Robert has lived by a philosophy he proudly named “The Great Grade Recovery.” The strategy was simple: spend every possible minute living life to the fullest, leave absolutely no time for turning in assignments, and then somehow pull off a miraculous comeback at the end. Against all odds (and occasionally against the advice of his parents), it worked.

Today, that same determination, confidence, and ability to rise to the occasion carried him across the Highland High School graduation stage — with honors!

He’s brilliant, funny, caring, and kind. At 6’5”, he’s a dominating presence on the volleyball court and an incredible athlete, but what makes me proudest is the person he has become. He’s the kind of teammate, friend, son, and brother who makes the people around him better.

Watching him walk across that stage today was a reminder that success doesn’t always follow a straight line. Sometimes it comes with a few last-minute sprints, a lot of laughter, and a healthy dose of faith that things will work out.

Congratulations, Robert. We couldn’t be prouder of you.

Next stop: the University of Utah.
