On August 1st, 2026, The Milwaukee Turners were proud to support The Phoenix Milwaukee Soberfest 6 music festival at Pere Marquette Park. The festival is a free annual event held on the first Saturday of August. Food, musical artists, dj, dancing, local resource vendors, mocktails, and fellowship are a few of the great takeaways for everyone in attendance.

If you are in recovery and need a new outlet or activities, you can find free events on The New Form app from various organizations. Some require you to be in recovery and some are just positive free events that are offered to people interested in their own personal wellness. You can get connected to the app by going to our webpage here: https://www.milwaukeeturners.org/recovery-services

Harm reduction sometimes gets talked about like it's a profession. Something done by people with training, in a building, for someone else.
What may or may not come as a surprise, most of what keeps people alive isn't clinical.
It's a bartender who knows what to do when someone doesn't come out of the bathroom. The community member who doesn't call the police first. It's the coworker who hears someone mention treatment and just says "good" instead of asking what happened. It's a mother who keeps two boxes of Narcan in the kitchen drawer because she'd rather have them. None of those people would call themselves harm reductionists, but all of them are part of the network.
We work in partnership with people who use drugs, with families, with neighborhood organizations, with businesses that let us put supplies where the people actually are, and with the person reading this who may not have realized they were already in the room.
There's no membership. The only thing that separates someone in this work from someone watching it happen is that one of them decided the situation was theirs to be in.

You love what we do, you love where we do it. Let’s make Turner Hall even better in 2026.

A historic community hub and event venue in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, Turner Hall’s mission has never been more vital. Our National Historic Landmark sees tens of thousands of guests every year, and our programs reach neighborhoods across Milwaukee as we continue to grow and show up where Milwaukee needs us.

The Milwaukee Turners are facing urgent costs to replace our broken ADA lift and address time-sensitive masonry repairs on the North and West facades of historic Turner Hall, designed by architect Henry Koch (who also designed City Hall and the Pfister).

We estimate that the total cost of these repairs is $70,000.
- Estimated cost of new ADA Lift and installation: $40,000
- Estimated cost of Phase I masonry repairs: $30,000

The ADA lift will help people who need assistance moving from the north parking lot entrance to the main meeting and restaurant floor to attend our forums, recovery programs, community activities and more. (The regular elevator is still in operation; this is a separate lift on the North side of the building). Phase I masonry work will address some of the critical structural problems that have occurred over the past 50 years, resulting in cracks in our facade and shifting keystones.

Your support will go directly to building repairs for historic Turner Hall.
