A bittersweet week with a ticket worth celebrating. 🩵🌟
Black, Latino, Hmong, immigrant, and refugee families. Working-class families. Public school kids. Union households.
These are Wisconsin stories.
For communities that haven’t always seen themselves represented at the highest levels of government, this moment is truly monumental.

David Crowley for Governor grew up in Milwaukee, experiencing eviction and the impact of his parents’ struggles with addiction. He began his career as a community organizer, served in the Wisconsin State Assembly, made history as the first Black man elected Milwaukee County Executive, and now has the opportunity to become Wisconsin’s first Black governor.
Sarah Godlewski, for Lieutenant Governor, grew up in Eau Claire, was raised by two public school teachers in a union household, and has dedicated her career to public service.
Josh Kaul, the son of an Indian immigrant, grew up in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac, and attended Wisconsin public schools.
JoCasta Zamarripa for Secretary of State was raised by a single mother on Milwaukee’s South Side, became a first-generation college graduate, and made history as Wisconsin’s first Latina state legislator.
Yee Leng Xiong, who is running for State Treasurer, grew up in Wausau, the son of Hmong refugee parents who worked factory jobs to build a life for their family.
Different lived experiences. Different paths. One Wisconsin.
Representation matters, and so does what we do with it. We celebrate this moment while continuing to push for a Wisconsin where all of our communities are seen, heard, and represented.
