🎉 Congratulations to Representative Amaad Rivera-Wagner, our Democratic nominee for Wisconsin’s 90th Assembly District! 💙

Amaad is running for re-election to continue representing Green Bay in the Wisconsin State Assembly. In his first term, he helped pass bipartisan legislation, held more than 30 town halls and community office hours, and worked on housing, public safety, veterans services, immigration, and support for working families.

Among those accomplishments was legislation signed into law in April allowing DACA recipients and other Wisconsinites with federal work authorization to obtain professional licenses in fields including health care and education.

That is what representation can mean: bringing our communities to the table and turning advocacy into policy that changes people’s lives.

Born and raised on Milwaukee’s South Side, Ismael’s story is deeply connected to the community he is running to represent. After experiencing homelessness as a teenager, he went on to work in the nonprofit sector supporting women experiencing homelessness and leading community efforts around housing, public health, and substance misuse prevention.

The Wisconsin State Assembly makes decisions that directly affect our neighborhoods, including funding for schools, housing, health care, transportation, and the state budget.

We’re proud to see a new generation of Latino leaders stepping forward from Milwaukee’s South Side and bringing lived experience and community advocacy to our democracy.

Rico is a third-generation Waukesha native, educator, coach, and community leader whose family has deep roots in Waukesha’s Latino community. His family helped establish La Casa de Esperanza and bilingual education in the Waukesha School District, and Rico has continued that legacy through education and public service.

The Wisconsin State Assembly helps determine our state budget and passes laws affecting public education, health care, housing, workers, infrastructure, and our local communities.

We’re proud to see Latino leadership growing beyond our state’s largest cities and to celebrate a leader deeply rooted in the community he hopes to represent.
