Just Breathe, Smoke Free Mobile County Each year, 820 Alabamians die from secondhand smoke related illnesses and 7,500 die from smoking.

Become a fan of Just Breathe to learn more about healthier options for our communities in Mobile County and protecting citizens from secondhand smoke in indoor places. The Mobile County Health Department, in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Alabama Department of Public Health, are teaming up to educate area residents on the ill effects of secondhand smoke and

work towards cleaner air for everyone to breathe in all public indoor places and workplaces. Everyone deserves the right to breathe clean air!

MCHD and Family Health facilities will be closed to the public Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Saturday Family Health Clinic and WIC services at 251 N. Bayou St. will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on May 23.
