🚨 On Thursday, March 19, 2026, Maine State Police Corporal Greg Ramp and his family lost their home and everything in it to a devastating house fire in the Bangor area.
Thankfully, Greg, his wife Natasha, their two children, and all of their pets... including K-9 partner Murph made it out safely. But they are now starting over with nothing.
Greg has served with the Maine State Police since 2019, after spending 10 years as an electrician, and has been a dedicated K-9 handler since 2022.

Now it’s our turn to support him and his family in their time of need.

The Trooper Black Foundation (a registered 501(c)(3), EIN # 84-2953745) is collecting donations, and 100% of contributions made through April 19, 2026 will go directly to the Ramp family.

It looks like we are to get our first substantial snowfall for the year tomorrow. Please be prepared ahead of time to include leaving early to allow for slippery/icy road conditions. Please remember the Town of Monmouth’s parking ban from November 1st until April 15.

The NWS Gray has issued a Winter Storm Watch for portions of Maine to include Kennebec County, beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, December 2. According to the latest forecast, there is a 60% probability that Kennebec County will receive more than 6 inches, with an average snowfall rate of 1 inch per hour, reports indicate that accumulation could reach up to 8 inches. The onset of the storm is likely to begin after the morning commute, starting at 10:00 AM, continuing throughout the day, and tapering off around 6:00 PM. Winds will remain calm at less than 5 MPH during the event and are expected to increase to 20-25 MPH as precipitation comes to an end. Temperatures will stay below freezing for the duration of the event, creating slick travel conditions.

We have been made aware of a recent scam that is circulating involving individuals claiming to be from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Victims have reported receiving pop ups on their computers advising that their bank accounts have been compromised and to call the number provided. Victims are then transferred to an "investigator" who instructs you to withdraw all of your funds from the bank and then wait at home. An individual then comes to the home, collects the funds, and gives a receipt supposedly from the FBI.

If you suspect you are the victim of a scam/fraud or attempted to be defrauded please report this to us immediately!
