We are excited to announce that the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office has officially launched our new, digital Home Safety Survey (see Attachment), and we are asking for your help to get it into the hands of your residents.

Our goal is to make it easier for West Virginians to identify home fire hazards and take proactive steps toward safety. This tool is designed to be a quick, five-minute assessment that provides immediate safety guidance to residents while helping us better understand fire safety trends across the state.

As our annual fair comes to a close, and we clean up the grounds, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make it such an incredible success.

A special thank you to the members of our Monongalia County Sheriff's Office, especially Sheriff Forbes, for your continued support and for taking the time to be part of our event. We also want to thank all of the elected officials who stopped by to support our community.

While our fire department is nonpartisan, we sincerely appreciate every public servant who takes the time to support our volunteers and our mission.

To our local businesses—thank you for your generous donations, sponsorships, and unwavering commitment to our department. Your support helps make this event possible year after year.

Most importantly, thank you to our amazing community! Whether you volunteered, donated, attended, bought a dinner, played the games, or simply stopped by to say hello, your support means everything to us. Because of you, our fair continues to thrive and helps us better serve the community we are proud to protect.

What a great time last night, and cannot wait to see everyone again this evening!

We’re honored to announce that Monongalia County Sheriff Forbes has volunteered to take his turn in the dunk tank tonight from 7:00–8:00 PM!

Sheriff Forbes grew up right here in our community and has always been a tremendous supporter of our county’s volunteer fire departments. It’s an honor to have him at our fair, and we truly appreciate his continued support.

Stop by, take your best shot, and help send the Sheriff for a swim—all for a great cause!

We sincerely appreciate everyone who recognizes the dedication of our volunteer firefighters and the importance of our annual fair.
