The 2026 Summer Reading Program (SRP) registration starts today, Monday, June 1st!

Every year, our Summer Reading Program provides kids—and adults—reasons to celebrate books, creativity, and community. We offer programs for children (grades 1-5), tweens & teens, and adults (ages 18+). We’ll also include younger friends in our new Summer Sprouts program!

Clinton District Public Library will be open additional hours this summer in support of the summer reading program. Those dates and times are:

Thursday, June 11 10a to 1p
Thursday, June 25 10a to 1p
Thursday, July 9 10a to 1p
Thursday, July 23 10a to 1p

Patrons who have signed up for SRP can participate in our in person programming. Please note, all in person programming at Clinton has limited supplies, participation is on a first come first serve basis.

Each summer, we choose a book everyone in the family can enjoy. Register to read along with the community and complete activities.

All registered participants will receive a free copy of the book and postcards in the mail with activities and discussion questions to guide you through the story. (Books are available for pick up on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.)

📚 Just 2 Weeks Away ✨

StoryFest will take place June 6 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Spruce Street Pavilion in downtown Morgantown. Presented by the Morgantown Public Library , the free community event celebrates storytelling through interactive activities, entertainment and creative experiences for all ages.

Designed for kids, teens and adults alike, StoryFest invites the community to explore creativity, imagination and the power of storytelling in a fun downtown setting. 📖🎉

StoryFest is a Main Street Morgantown Affiliate Event.

We LOVE when our patrons share pictures with us!

Our birdwatching kits are good for more than birds! One family who frequents the Clinton District Public Library took the binoculars on vacation to the St. Louis zoo. Thanks to Meghan, Corbyn, Holden, and Olivia for sharing their photos of our kit in action! Borrow one at Morgantown or any of our branches.
