We hope you’ve been enjoying our Sci-Fi September programs so far. Did you know that there are even more ways to celebrate in the Children’s Room and Teen Zone?

Kids in the Children’s Room can create paper aliens that live on different planets using provided supplies. They can also borrow a Curiosity Kit from the Children’s Room desk based on the picture book We Are Definitely Human by X. Fang, which helps children explore the concept of empathy through hands-on activities.

In the Teen Zone, teens can work together to complete a sticker-painting activity based on a famous artwork. Help us fill in the sheet to reveal the secret image!

Bookmobile service is canceled for the following dates and locations this week due to heat:

- Tuesday, Sept. 8 at M***a Loma Elementary School
- Wednesday, Sept. 9 at Vargas Elementary School
- Thursday, Sept. 10 at Landels Elementary School

The Library building will remain open until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday as an air-conditioned cooling center.

Do your kids like making things? Drop by the Library every other Thursday for Let’s Create, an afternoon of art and crafts where kids can explore, experiment, and create at their own pace. We’ll provide the materials and make something different each session!

The first Let’s Create session will be held on Thursday, September 10. We invite children ages 5 and up to participate.
