• That since we are created with the right of liberty, we are free to use our individu

al abilities to pursue personal happiness and financial gain as long as we do not infringe upon the rights of others to do likewise.
• That included in the pursuit of happiness is our individual right to own possessions and property and seek entrepreneurial success.
• That we have the right to keep and bear arms to protect ourselves, loved ones, and personal property from those who seek to do harm.
• That the traditional marriage between one man and one woman forms the foundation of the family unit, which then becomes a supportive and stabilizing institution of our society.
• That we free individuals give our consent to be governed as a republic by elected officials, thereby forming a government of law whose primary responsibility is to preserve and protect the God given rights of individuals.
• That the federal government should maintain and employ a strong national defense of our freedoms against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
• That our government should receive the consent of the governed and exercise purposeful restraint and responsibility in taxing its citizens, spending its citizens’ money, and regulating its citizens’ free pursuit of capitalism.
• That the Constitution of the United States of America, when read and applied with the original intent of the founding fathers, provides the structure for our free republic and the basis for these affirmations.

We really enjoyed the opportunity to sit down with U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty for this conversation.

We covered a lot of ground—from growing up in Gallatin and attending Vanderbilt, to his career in business, serving as Tennessee’s Economic & Community Development Commissioner, U.S. Ambassador to Japan, and ultimately representing Tennessee in the U.S. Senate.

With Senator Hagerty seeking reelection this November, this is a great opportunity to get to know more about him personally, hear the experiences that have shaped his life and career, and learn his perspective on some of the important issues facing Tennessee and our country.

MTSU is a significant neighbor in our community. The university creates many jobs and has educated many locals. However, it has also had it's share of struggles with many negative aspects. They have not always been the best of landlords on their properties around campus, there is often crime committed that has ties to students, and the university is one of the driving forces of liberal ideology in our county.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, 3 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, Korn Ferry, the search firm for the next MTSU President will be holding a public meeting where they will discuss the process for hiring the next president.

It is very important for those in our community to attend and ensure that the search committee is making wise decisions that will positively affect the future of Rutherford County.

In the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings, Central Magnet School was named the #1 High School in the Nation, while eight RCS high schools ranked in the top 25% across Tennessee.

​This outstanding milestone is a direct result of the dedication, hard work, and support across our entire community.

​Reflecting on this milestone, School Board Member Caleb Tidwell shared, "This is an outstanding accomplishment for Rutherford County Schools and a reflection of the commitment to excellence demonstrated throughout our school system. Our students, educators, administrators, and families should take great pride in this recognition and the continued success of our schools."

This entire election, Cathy Watts and her Democrat friends have been trying to masquerade themselves as moderates, maybe even a bit as conservatives.

Let's face it, only an extremist would ever partner with the Democrat Socialists for their election rally.

Only your vote against their liberal agendas can save Rutherford County from their efforts to force socialism into our society!
