Before they answer the call, they answer to a much more important title: Dad.
What do you see when you look at this picture?
A firefighter protecting a child?
A firefighter father and a son?
OR MAYBE a firefighter meeting the little boy he once was?
Truth… It's all three.
The values that define great firefighters—courage, compassion, integrity, and service—are often first learned from the fathers and father figures who guide us through life.
Today, we honor the dads who taught us to be brave when things are difficult, to help others in need, and always to do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
To all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures in our North Collier Fire family and throughout our community, thank you for the example you set every day.
