Are you in grades 8–12 and ready to take on a leadership role in Juab County 4-H? We’re looking for 4 youth to serve as Livestock Ambassadors for the upcoming year!

This is a great opportunity to build leadership skills, get more involved, and represent Juab County 4-H!

Cooler temperatures can actually be ideal for several vegetables. If you’re planting in late August or early September, consider fast-growing, cool-season crops like radishes, spinach, kale, turnips, and Swiss chard.

Keep in mind that planting dates vary across Utah due to differences in elevation, climate, and first-frost dates. Choose fast-maturing varieties and check your local first-frost date before planting. Crops planted this late may also need some protection if temperatures drop quickly.

A little planning now can mean fresh vegetables from your garden well into fall!
