Shanta Scott met with the mayors office on Tuesday to tell the administration about her complaints with police corruption and NOPD Sgt Victor Gant Jr. in particular, who now works on the Executive Protection Unit. After he was shot at point blank range by Madison Wisconsin police officers on Wednesday, hundreds have shown out in protest in Wisconsin, and they are asking all of us around the country to stand with them for justice.

GUILTY! 👩🏾‍⚖️💥 We know that police brutality and racist oppression go hand in hand. Murril’s actions as AG are an affront to our civil rights. Families like those of Jace Lee Scott and Ronald Greene not getting justice, the record number of wrongful incarcerations in Louisiana, and the courts’/Landry’s defense of the AG’s racist and unlawful actions go hand in hand. BACKGROUND/ICYMI: Earlier this month, Attorney General Murrill was indicted by an Orleans Parish grand jury on 16 felony counts: eight counts of malfeasance in office and eight counts of public intimidation. The charges relate to letters Murrill sent threatening city officials with removal from office for opposing a state law merging city court clerk offices, after Landry cut down Calvin Duncan’s election earlier this year.

Murril is GUILTY of all 16 counts and we demand she be convicted!

Today and tomorrow we are asking our supporters to act against prison brutality. Eric Jones was injured by prison guards at the BB Rayburn Correctional Facility on June 12. His jaw was broken and had to be wired shut. The prison is saying Eric broke his own jaw. Now his mother is demanding footage of the incident and that her son's safety is assured.

Call in today (985) 661-6300 to demand the footage of Eric's jaw being broken and that the brutality stops.
