🚧 Meet the Mission Makers 💙💛

Today, we're excited to introduce Mrs. Tiffany Lawrason, one of our NEW Lower School Social Studies teachers!

With 19 years in education, Mrs. Lawrason brings joy, experience, and enthusiasm to her classroom every day. Mrs. Lawrason said, "I love teaching because kids are funny, and they brighten my day!" She also told us that she chose Morris Jeff because she felt called to the International Baccalaureate (IB) model, especially its emphasis on collaboration, project-based learning, and the development of global citizens. She loves helping students learn through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, teamwork, and connection.

When she's not teaching, you'll likely find her exploring New Orleans festivals, spending time with her family and many animals, camping, traveling, enjoying all things Disney, or sharing a good joke.

🎒 The countdown is almost over!

From smiling faces at Meet the Teacher to exciting Upper School Orientations, it was wonderful to welcome so many families to campus this week. New classrooms, new teachers, new friendships, and new adventures are just around the corner.

This year, we're excited to introduce Mission Makers, a staff spotlight series celebrating the incredible educators and team members who bring Morris Jeff's mission to life every day.

Throughout the year, you'll get to know the people who make our community so special—their passions, what inspires them, and the unique ways they help our students learn, grow, and belong.

Every strong community starts with a solid foundation, and at Morris Jeff, our Administrative Team helps lay it every day.

From supporting students and families to empowering teachers and staff, our leaders work behind the scenes to ensure our mission comes to life in every classroom, hallway, and campus.

🎉 On Monday, July 27, we welcomed our newest PK4 and Kindergarten students and their families for our very first PK4 & Kindergarten Round-Up! 💙💛

Our future Pelicans spent the morning exploring their new school through hands-on, play-based learning stations while our teachers began getting to know each child. Families connected with staff, explored campus, and took the first steps toward an exciting school year.

We loved seeing so many smiling faces and can't wait to welcome these young learners back for their first day of school. The 2026–2027 school year is almost here! 🏫 🎒 ✨

Sometimes the biggest transformations can happen outside the classroom.

Three years ago, we began reimagining our outdoor play area at the Lower School, and this summer we added the final touch with a new playground shade.

From the shade that keeps students comfortable to the turf that stands up to countless hours of play, we hope this playground is always a place where friendships grow, imaginations take flight, and every recess brings a new adventure.

We love seeing our smallest Pelicans make this space their own. 💙💛

🎉 Our teachers are back, and we couldn't be happier!

We officially welcomed our incredible educators back to Morris Jeff for the start of a new school year. They explored their campuses, gathered for a warm welcome from Ms. Perkins at the Upper School, shared stories, reconnected with colleagues, and even smiled for their school photos.

The energy, excitement, and sense of community were already filling our halls—and this is just the beginning. 💙💛

We're so grateful to have these amazing educators back and can't wait to welcome our students very soon!
