Ninilchik Community Library

The Ninilchik Community Library thanks you, Helena Bock, for stepping—or I should say jumping—up onto our board in 2025, and you have been running at full throttle since. Your energy and get-it-done attitude are so appreciated. You started the yearly Christmas bazaar, which was and continues this year to be a great success. Helena has always been there to fill in at the circulation desk when needed and even move bookshelves; she is dependable in support of community engagement activities, helping host clubs such as ASL, chess, and even stepping in for Lego, as well as developing our learning series that we ran all winter, which brought local talented teachers of many trades together with youth and adults alike to learn new crafts and skills on a weekly schedule. That is a lot of commitment and dependability, not to mention our baskets and front flower bed looked amazing this year from her volunteering her time to w**d, water, and plant them.

The Ninilchik Community Library thanks Whitney Schollenberg for stepping into her role as board secretary since October 2023; she has brought her valuable skills in design to the table, creating our logo, fine-tuning our digital presence, and working her magic on many of our flyers. This year, she has taken on the big task of giving our traditional calendar a facelift that we are so excited to reveal. Whitney has been dependable and steadfast through years of balancing kids' sports schedules and a busy working mom life; we are so thankful for the time she has volunteered keeping our meeting minutes, updating our policies and procedures, serving on our gaming committee, and offering hands-on assistance at multiple fundraisers and community engagment activities we host.

We can always count on you, even with your kids in tow; you get the job done and more, always stepping in when needed to fill in for activities and circulation.
