Just in time for the weekend - winter trails at Ninilchik River Campground are now groomed and classic tracks are set!

Located at MP 134.3 of the Sterling Highway. These tails are open to all non-motorized uses and pets.

There is plenty of free firewood at the Ninilchik River Campground right now. We had to remove trees that were hazardous to the campsites. Anything that is precut into rounds is fair game.

Before and after photos of removing the wooden boat at Ninilchik Beach. Sadly, due to its deteriorating condition the boat became a safety hazard. This boat was located here for over 20 years and served as a memorial to Bob Chenier, a long-time Ninilchik resident and fisherman.
