Happy National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week!

It’s a time for reflection—a moment to pause and offer heartfelt gratitude to the more than 100,000 911 telecommunications professionals across our country. Every year, in nearly 6,000 public safety answering points, you answer and guide an estimated 240 million calls for help.
Thank you for being the true first first responders. Thank you for the steady voices behind the headsets, the unseen heroes who bring clarity and calm in moments of chaos. On what is often the hardest day in someone’s life, you are there—listening, guiding, and caring with strength and compassion.
During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, and every day beyond it, we honor and appreciate all that you do.
And to the telecommunicators in Alaska—your dedication, resilience, and heart do not go unnoticed. You are deeply appreciated.
