Book Bugs are back for the 2026-27 school year!🐜

NPL Book Bugs is a trading card game for grades K-12 that encourages and incentivizes reading throughout the school year. Every week, participants can read to collect cards, which can be used to battle other players and play games!

We are terribly saddened to hear about the passing of Dolly Parton ❤️

As the founder of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she became the "Book Lady" to millions of children, helping families build home libraries and fostering a love of reading that will last for generations.

From libraries everywhere, we see the impact of that mission every day. We are grateful for the joy, opportunity, and imagination she shared with the world. Her legacy will continue on with the 300 million books gifted over the years.

Rest in peace, Dolly.
