The Fobes Garden Club really has out done themselves for today's Herby Hour program. Some of the herbs used were grown right here at the library. I'm sure all of the registered attendees are going to absolutely love it! Thanks again to the Fobes Garden Club, we're so lucky to have you 💐

There are one new bestseller, one new movie, 30 new children's books, and twelve other new books.

The new bestseller this week is "InvestiGators: Weather or Not." The new movie this week is "Project Hail Mary."

The Oakham Town Wide Yard Sale is Saturday August 22nd. The library will be participating rain or shine. We'll have the typical yard sale offerings and a book sale- but we'll also have an assortment of house plants! Come by and shop- all funds raised help pay for free community programs at the library.

Attention local homeschool families:
This school year, the Fobes Memorial Library wants to give our monthly Homeschoolers' program a refresh! For this first meet up of the year we will be hosting a curriculum and materials swap. So bring your outgrown curriculum, books, flashcards, and other learning supplies to swap. While caregivers are swapping items, we'll have an activity for the kids to do.

This meet up will be a great time to learn about all of the resources at the library and to let us know how we can support our homeschooling families. (If you don't have anything to swap you are still welcome and we still want to hear from you!)

Please register by completing the form so we can be sure to have enough space and supplies.

A library patron generously donated some gorgeous peaches! Make a donation and take a quart basket of peaches home. There's even a recipe included. It's a peach of a deal! (I'll see myself out... 😬)

Fobes Memorial Library is excited to announce a local history program we're hosting on Saturday, September 12th, Finding William Lewis. Join us to learn about the story of William Lewis and how a life's worth of journals and account books were discovered, giving us a personal peek into his world living in the 19th century.
