DaVinci Academy of Science & the Arts

DaVinci Academy of Science & the Arts K-12 Public Charter School in Ogden, Utah

Our Motto "Uniquely Dedicated to Student Success." Office Hours: 7:30am to 3:45pm Monday thru Friday

Our Vision The DaVinci Academy is a premier Charter School that superbly prepares students for ever-greater challenges and opportunities. Our Story
DaVinci Academy was the brainchild of a coalition of business, science, education, and community leaders early in 2003. The concept of creating a high school in downtown Ogden that provided the knowledge and skills students needed in the 21st century w

as compelling for many. After months of work, DaVinci Academy was chartered by the Utah State Board of Education and opened its doors in August 2004 with the mission of integrating science and the arts after the example of the original Renaissance man, Leonardo da Vinci. Naturally this progressed into a college ready, project-based curriculum that addresses the needs of the whole child.

A HUGE congratulations to DaVinci's Senior Class of 2026!

We had the honor of celebrating their successes and said our goodbyes last night. We are SO proud and excited to see where they go next! This class had many OTech graduates, lots of cords, and an impressive amount of scholarships!

It is also important to recognize the Senior Team, who all worked with the seniors directly all year to get them to this point, offering support in many ways. Our Senior Team this year included the amazing Mr. Goggi, Mrs. Johnston, Mrs. Larsen and Ms. Taggart.

Graduation Week 2026. In another great DaVinci tradition, Seniors taking our AP US Government/Political Science 1100 class had a great day at the Utah Capitol in February. Special thanks to Senator Ann Milner for taking time to talk with us and to the The Walker Institute at Weber State University for hosting and making arrangements.

Graduation Week 2026.

In January, the Class of 2026 (along with some film students) attended a Sundance Film: "The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist"

The annual Sundance Film has been a great DaVinci tradition for nearly 20 years. We are sad to see Sundance leave Utah, but we hope to keep an alternate film tradition alive for next year!

It's crazy to say it, but next week is the last week of the school year!

It's important to note that Monday and Tuesday are both normal schedules- students will be in all their usual classes. The Students Awards will also take place after school on Monday at 6:30 in the gym.

On Friday, students may come in for any final business, but all students will need to be out of the building by 12:35

Congraultations to Xanti Cabrera for winning Best Actress at the Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards for her role as Javert in Les Miserables!
Xanti is an exceptional actress, vocalist, leader, and student. She will now represent DaVinci and the State of Utah at the Jimmy Awards in New York this summer where she will get to work with and learn from industry professionals on and perform on Broadway.
From her first lead role at DaVinci as Ti Moune in Once on This Island to many notable roles such as Regina George in Mean Girls, Alice in Alice by Heart, Percy in The Spitfire Grill, Bea in Something Rotten, and Eurydice in Hadestown, just to name a few, this has been a long time coming!
Xanti - We are so proud of you!
