Vote Justin Wagner For Congress this November!!!! Vote out Mike Kelly!
Mike Kelly voted NO on funding our local roads and water lines, but he was the first in line to take the credit.
Politicians love to claim credit for things they had nothing to do with, but Mike Kellyβs outright hypocrisy stands out. When the $1.2 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Law came up for a vote, Kelly was a flat "NO."
He was perfectly fine with denying millions to PA-16. Yet, he hasn't hesitated to announce the local projects it funded, completely hiding the fact that he fought against them from the start.
Look at the critical local investments Kelly was willing to deny our communities:
Vital transportation upgrades, clean water quality, and broadband in Erie and Crawford counties.
Crucial bridge safety, road capacity, and sewer/water upgrades in Lawrence and Butler.
Utility infrastructure, sewage projects, and economic revitalization in Venango.
Kelly claimed the infrastructure bill was "irresponsible spending" because the Congressional Budget Office projected it would add $256 billion to the deficit over 10 years. But look at his actual record:
He voted for the 2017 tax cuts that added $2 trillion to our national debt, and the 2025 bill is projected to balloon the debt by another $4.5 trillion.
To pay for those massive corporate tax handouts, Kelly voted to pass the buck to working families by approving devastating cuts to the social safety net:
$880 billion cut from Medicaid
$230 billion cut from food stamps
$331 billion cut from student loans
So a bill adding $256 billion to fix our actual roads and water is "too expensive," but adding $6 trillion in debt for his rich friends and corporate donors is no problem?
Tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy always get an enthusiastic "yes" from Mike Kelly, but investing in Western Pennsylvania families gets a "no." We deserve a representative who actually votes to build up our communities, not a career politician who plays games with our infrastructure.
It's time for real change.
