IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Compassion Action Youth Services Announces Update Back-to-School Community Event

Compassion Action Youth Services has made the decision not to move forward with hosting our Back-to-School Community Event in partnership with Portland Place Apartments.

Our organization will instead arrange to host the community event independently at our own event center on a later date. We remain committed to providing backpacks, school supplies, resources, and support to local families and children.

Additional event details will be announced once finalized.

🎒💗 Every child deserves to walk into school feeling confident, prepared, and valued. For many families in our community, a new backpack is something they simply can't afford—and that's where we can make a difference together.

Compassion Action Youth Services is asking our community to help us provide backpacks and school supplies to youth who need them most. One backpack may seem small, but to a child, it can mean hope, confidence, and the chance to start the school year with dignity.
We are incredibly grateful to Raising Cane's, Walmart, and Studio A Design + Development for believing in our mission and helping us make an impact. Their generosity is already changing lives.

🚨 We Need Your Help, Oklahoma City! 🎒❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Walmart for donating 25 backpacks and school supplies to Compassion Action Youth Services! Because of their generosity, we're one step closer to helping local students start the school year with confidence.

But we're not done yet.

🎒 We still need 150 more backpacks to meet the needs of the children and families we're serving.

We're Looking for a Board Treasurer

Compassion Action Youth Services is seeking a dedicated Board Treasurer to join our volunteer Board of Directors.

We're looking for someone with experience in banking, accounting, bookkeeping, finance, budgeting, or nonprofit financial management who is passionate about giving back to the community. As our Board Treasurer, you'll help provide financial oversight, support transparency, and strengthen the future of an organization serving youth and families throughout Oklahoma City.

This is more than a volunteer role—it's an opportunity to use your professional skills to create lasting change in the lives of young people.

We're especially interested in: • Banking professionals
• CPAs and accountants
• Bookkeepers
• Financial advisors
• Business owners and executives
• Individuals with nonprofit finance or board experience
