That's a wrap on the first cohort of our new employment readiness pilot, the WRAP Program!

Over the past two weeks, 9 young people developed communication and interview skills, toured workplaces like Kimray Inc. and CVS Pharmacy, connected with professionals to learn about their career journeys, and put their interview skills into practice.

At the awards ceremony on the final day, there were cheers and tears of joy. One client beamed as they shared they'd never graduated from anything before.

Now, they'll spend the next four weeks working alongside our Employment Coordinators to map out their next steps. Some feel ready to enter the workforce directly. Others are headed to career training programs or preparing to earn their GED or high school diploma.

We're incredibly proud of our WRAP Program graduates and can't wait to see where their newfound skills and confidence take them!

Last month Chat Pile came through for a tour of our shelter and drop-in resource center. They took the time to learn about our housing and case management programs and the young people we serve.

We're so grateful for their investment in this community and for the show they're putting on to support Sisu on September 12th at Tower Theater.

Last week, we asked for help restocking the pantry shelves in our shelter and drop-in center, and we are blown away by the way you showed up for our clients! Thank you to everyone who stopped by with deliveries and ordered from our wish list, and to Lord of Life Lutheran Church for bringing a trunkload of snacks for the youth! We couldn't do this work without your incredible support 🧡

We're thrilled to share that we have been awarded $1.5 million by the Arnall Family Foundation to fund the second phase of our campus! This expansion will include a dedicated classroom and conference space, therapy rooms, additional case management spaces, on-campus emergency shelter units for parenting youth, and an enclosed courtyard.

We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of the Arnall Family Foundation and all they do for our community.

Last week, our clients visited Oklahoma Contemporary! They loved exploring the museum and engaging with the artwork. We are so grateful for opportunities like this that bring art, learning, and community together, and we're already looking forward to the next trip!

Our pantry shelves are running low on snacks for the young people in our shelter and drop-in center.

Last week, our clients spent the day at Ralph's Ranch meeting goats, chickens, peacocks, a donkey, and a pony, followed by some fun in the sun at their pool!

One of our clients told us, “Today feels like a vacation, and I really needed a vacation.”
