In two weeks, we'll be going Over The Edge!

Thank you to all our brave participants and the folks who have supported them! We have passed $30,000 in donations to support our mission to enhance the quality of life for people as they age.

We are so grateful to all of you, whether you are a rappeller or a supporter. Our goal for this campaign is $50,000, and we are 60% of the way there.

If you want to rappel, there's still time. If you'd rather support someone in their efforts, there's time for that, too. And if you'd rather just watch folks being heroic for a great cause, come out to Huntamer Park starting at noon on June 13!

🚨Heads Up!

The Olympia Senior Center and the Virgil Clarkson Lacey Senior Center, along with the administrative offices of Senior Services for South Sound, will be closed this Friday, May 15 for our annual All Staff Retreat.

Aside from this closure, our centers will remain open Monday–Friday during our regular hours to serve our seniors.

This is a lovely tribute to Rick Crawford, former editor of the Senior News, who passed away yesterday. We will miss you, Rick!

We are saddened to report that our good friend, long time SAN member, and former editor of the Senior News, Rick Crawford, has died. Rick's nephew and caregiver, Patrick, reported to us that "Rick took his final breath at 12:25 pm on Tuesday, May 5th. It was very peaceful." Patrick wanted to thank everyone for providing so much love and support to not only Rick, but to the family as well. A Celebration of Life is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, July 11th. More details will be shared at a later time.
