LFS was honored to participate in the September Community Networking Event at Nebraska Methodist College, where we had the opportunity to connect with community members, share resources, and discuss the programs and services available through LFS.

Our own Sarah Dobson accompanied Lutheran Family Services' Chris Tonniges and Emily Barr as they met with the offices of Nebraska’s senators (among others) on Capitol Hill. Chris and Emily shared updates on their work to rehabilitate an unused educational campus as housing for youth aging out of foster care and their experiences working with Medicaid beneficiaries impacted by Nebraska’s first-in-the-nation compliance with new federal Medicaid work reporting requirements. Amidst a rapidly shifting federal landscape, we're amplifying our faith-based voice on the issues that most directly affect our communities.

LFS is now offering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment for depression. TMS offers hope for individuals who haven't found relief through traditional medications and provides another path toward healing.
