Putnam County Fire Rescue is proud to announce the promotion of Firefighter/Paramedic Marc Sala to the rank of Lieutenant.

Lieutenant Sala began his career with PCFR in 2017 and has consistently demonstrated the leadership, professionalism, and dedication required of a company officer.

In addition to serving our community, Lieutenant Sala serves our country as a Hospital Corpsman Chief Petty Officer assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 10. He serves as the unit’s senior medical department representative and operates patrol boats as a Tactical Craft Coxswain during maritime security operations.

Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant Marc Sala on this well-earned promotion. We look forward to his continued leadership and service to PCFR and the citizens of Putnam County.

Station 25 - Melrose Landing

Today marked an exciting milestone for Putnam County Fire Rescue as we officially opened our newest fire station. This project represents the commitment of so many people who worked together to improve the safety and service provided to our community.

A heartfelt thank you to former Representative Bobby Payne, whose leadership was instrumental in securing the funding that made this station possible. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Putnam County Board of County Commissioners—Chair Leota Wilkinson, Commissioners Larry Harvey, JR Newbold, Walton Pellicer, and Josh Alexander—for their continued support of public safety.

Thank you to Blackwater Construction for delivering an outstanding facility, to Putnam County Public Works for their assistance throughout the project, and to everyone who helped make today's grand opening a success.

Most importantly, thank you to the citizens of Putnam County for your continued support and for welcoming us into your neighborhood with open arms. We are proud to serve this community and look forward to protecting the families and businesses in this area for many years to come.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today to celebrate this special occasion. We are honored to serve you, today and into the future.
