Time is running out to join the Chef's Table x Park City Community Foundation dinner, happening in ONE WEEK.

This intimate evening benefits our Zero Food Waste initiative and will feature a menu from chefs Inés Páez Nin and Jaime Rodríguez, alongside the Alpinist culinary team, with wine pairings led by Redhawk Vineyard. It's a chance to connect with chefs who are putting sustainability to work in their own kitchens, and to invest in that same work locally.

♻️Big news for recycling in Summit County. Four new drop-off locations - Ledges Event Center, Kamas Park & Ride, Ecker Hill Park & Ride, and Three Mile Landfill - are now open 24/7 and ready to take residential glass and mixed recyclables.

It's an exciting step toward more convenient waste diversion for the whole community, and Park City Community Foundation is looking forward to being part of the next phase. In the coming months, our Zero Food Waste initiative will partner with Summit County to bring food waste pickup to select locations as well!

Every month, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library sends a free, age-appropriate book to enrolled children from birth to age five. In Summit County, the program is available and funded by Park City Community Foundation's Early Childhood Alliance. Things you should know: ⁠

- There is a new bilingual English and Spanish collection now available for new and currently enrolled families!⁠
⁠
- Sign up now if you haven't already - all Summit County kids between the ages of birth and five are eligible. This is a free program for families. ⁠
⁠
- A new petition is asking Utah legislators to fund the program statewide. Show your support by signing! ⁠

Access to books at an early age has an amazing impact on our youngest neighbors. In a recent study of over 86,000 caregivers, kids in the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program were far more likely to develop early reading skills and a shared love for reading. ⁠

KPCW recently shared a great story about Park City Community Foundation's Youth United program, which helps local kids access sports and recreation throughout Summit County. Over the past decade, the program has granted $2 million and engaged 11,000 children, working hand-in-hand with 49 local organizations, from skiing and mountain biking to basketball, soccer, lacrosse, debate team, and more.⁠

"Mountain biking, skiing, all the sports and activities cost a lot of money, and we want to make sure that everybody has access to it," said Executive Director Joel Zarrow. Youth Access Manager Junior Vieyra added, "We work with almost every sport, and if there's a sport that a family wants to do that we don't currently work with, we make that connection with the organization."⁠

Park City Community Foundation's annual, community-wide giving day returns on Friday, November 6, 2026, for its 16th year. Last year, the Park City and Summit County community came together to raise more than $5.5 million in just 24 hours, supporting more than 140 local nonprofits.⁠

Park City Community Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Trisha J. Worthington Community Service Award!

This annual award recognizes an individual whose time and talent have made a meaningful difference in local charitable and community efforts. Thanks to the generosity of Park City Community Foundation's donors, the recipient will direct a $1,000 grant to a nonprofit organization of their choice.

This is the power of collective giving!⁠

Last night, Women's Giving Fund awarded $150,000 to three incredible nonprofits supporting women+ and children in Summit County.⁠
⁠
Summit County Clubhouse received the top grant of $90,000, as voted by Women's Giving Fund members, with PC READS and St. Mary's Catholic Church Charitable Assistance Program each receiving $30,000.⁠
⁠
It was a lovely celebration and a great reminder of what's possible when community members come together. Thank you to all of our Women's Giving Fund members, Wonder Women, and Steering Committee members who make this all possible. A huge thanks as well to Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation and Park City Mountain, and CVMA for sponsoring the event and this critical work.
