🇺🇸 All JGRLS Libraries to Close for Independence Day Holiday 🇺🇸

The Jackson-George Regional Library System announces that all library branches will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.

📚 All branches will resume regular operating hours on Monday, July 6. We encourage patrons to stop by before the holiday weekend to check out books, movies, and other materials to enjoy during the celebration.

📖 Even while our buildings are closed, library services are still available:
✅ Book drops will remain open for returns.
✅ Access e-books, audiobooks, streaming content, databases, renewals, and holds 24/7 at www.jgrls.org.

🦕🔍 What an incredible day of discovery!

The Mississippi Museum of Natural Science brought the excitement of paleontology and prehistoric adventures to our 2026 Summer Library Program: Unearth a Story! Participants explored fossils, learned about dinosaurs, and enjoyed hands-on activities that brought science and storytelling together in a fun and engaging way.

From digging into the past to uncovering new knowledge, our young explorers had a fantastic time learning from Meaghan Huseman, Conservation Educator, and the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science team. Thank you for helping make summer reading an unforgettable adventure!
