🏫✨ Meet Your 2026-2027 Admin Team! ✨ 🏫

Principal Kelly Taylor

Mt. Nebo Middle School is excited to highlight our principal, Kelly Taylor! Before coming to Mt. Nebo, Kelly worked as the Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at Landmark High School. A local native, Kelly grew up in Salem, attended Spanish Fork High School, and is the oldest of four children. She brings a wealth of experience, having spent 17 years teaching Social Studies, Math, Reading, and Communications at Spanish Fork Middle School (which became Diamond Fork Jr. High), followed by a year at Springville Jr. High. Kelly loves to travel and is passionate about working with students to help them realize their potential.

Outside of school, Kelly keeps busy with creative hobbies like reading, cooking, watercolor painting, and stained glass work. She stays active on the golf course, pickleball court, and skiing—whether that's snow, cross-country, or water skiing! When tuning into music, alternative is her go-to genre.

🏫✨ Meet Your 2026-2027 Admin Team! ✨ 🏫

Jen Gasser

Mt. Nebo Middle School is excited to highlight Jen Gasser! Before joining our team, Jen worked at Payson Jr. High as the Dean of Students. Education was a second career for Jen—she returned to school in her 30s to earn her degree in elementary education. She taught 6th grade for six years in elementary school and two years in middle school before moving into administration. Originally from Ephraim, she and her husband met while he was attending Snow College and have been married for 27 years. They have three adult children who they love hanging out and traveling with.

When she isn't at school, Jen loves doing anything that involves the ocean, especially shelling and collecting empty seashells. A former high school softball player who still loves throwing the ball around , she is also a big wrestling mom—cheering on her sons while her husband coaches. As a family, they love experiencing new places, whether exploring and eating their way through New Orleans or fishing for salmon on the Kenai River in Alaska. She enjoys listening to all types of music, as well as podcasts, with true crime being her favorite.

🏫✨ Meet Your 2026-2027 Admin Team! ✨ 🏫

Joseph-Asiata Loi-on

Mt. Nebo Middle School is excited to highlight Joseph Loi-on! Before joining our team at Mt. Nebo, Joseph worked at Valley View Middle School and Salem Hills High School. He also taught English, Japanese language, and reading at Jordan High School in Canyons School District, where he coached football, girls basketball, and softball. He and his wife met in high school and attended BYU-Hawaii together. They have two children—a daughter who is starting 2nd grade and a 5-year-old son heading off to Kindergarten. Joseph will be our new Dean of Students.

When he isn't at school, Joseph is all about sports—whether playing basketball, watching football, or cheering on his kids during their games. Music is another major part of his life. A lifelong fan of hip-hop, pop, and rap (with Drake and SZA taking top spots on his past Spotify Wrapped lists), he has recently been enjoying country artists like Ella Langley and Luke Combs.

Favorite Holiday: Thanksgiving, with Halloween coming in as a close runner-up
