This year the library teamed up with AAUW to host our first Girls in Science Club. 9 girls in grades 3-6 joined us for 5 weeks of reading, creating and learning from some of history’s most daring women.

We had presenters from Oregon State Police, A local female pilot, a Master Gardener, a butterfly expert, and Blue Mountain Canine.

Each week the girls worked on a display board for the women they learned about. You can check out these displays here at the library.

TINY PLANE DAY IS A'COMING!

Visit the Eastern Oregon Regional Airport at Pendleton on Saturday, June 6th from 8AM to 12PM for some high-flying family fun! Tour the facilities, meet the people that make it go (jet engine sound) and check out all of the fancy, aerodynamic features that the Pendleton Airport has to offer!

You've seen our featured stories of kids who have flown with us and had an amazing experience. Now it's time to have your own amazing experience! Come and join us June 6th for a fun morning as we provide kids, from 8 through 17, their first FREE ride in an airplane. We encourage parents to register their kids online because we will only have very limited walk-in registrations available.

The Library is looking for a Teen Intern for the Summer.

15 hours per week from the week of June 8th to August 15th. In addition to providing assistance with programming and checking out library materials, the Intern will hosting a new Teen Library Podcast to promote Teen Programming, Collections, and more!
