Our vision is that Morningside Elementary will be a model school that embraces diversity and academic success. Morningside Elementary will provide a high quality education to a diverse community of learners where everyone matters and all are expected to learn.

We hope our panthers will continue reading over the summer. This flyer includes some fun reading opportunities from community businesses. The Perry P***c library will be open and they have a wonderful summer reading program.

The Houston County School Nutrition Program will continue operations this summer, offering meals free of charge to children ages 18 and under. Children do not need to be enrolled in the Houston County School District to receive meals.

There will be three ways for families to participate in the Summer Meals Program. Daily walk-in meal service will be provided at two school locations, vans will serve meals in eligible neighborhoods, and three sites will offer a weekly meal pack pick up service.

🥳 First Grade Fact Masters Celebration! 🥳
Our first graders have been working hard to master their addition and subtraction facts to 10 fluently. Today, we concluded our Fact Masters Competition with a traditional Mathlete Competition!
Congratulations to all of our Mathletes for their hard work, focus, and determination. We are so proud of the growth and confidence our students have shown while building strong math fact fluency skills. Keep up the amazing work, Mathletes! 🏆➕➖

Great things happen at Morningside! Mrs. Jenkin's class did a fun lesson on AI today. Mr. Carrier our CIS helped students look at images to determine what was real vs. what is AI. They then created their own AI prompt to try to match a provided image. They had fun testing themselves to see who could get AI to create the closest image.

We had delicious homemade egg rolls provided to our staff for teacher appreciation week. They went too fast and we didn't get pictures!! Thank you to the Tran family for this special treat!
