The Little Library on Lakewood has been refreshed with adult books and Sue W.’s beautiful handmade bookmarks. Rainy days on the lake are a great time to settle in with a good book! 📚

St Johnsbury, Vermont is home to three indie bookstores. Tunnel Books, the newest addition, opened last fall. Immediately upon stepping onto the porch & inside the bookstore we appreciated how the environment was so inviting and noticed that it was filled with collections of curated diverse books. The brightly decorated shop had a scattering of fun vintage items and beautiful thriving plants. It impressed us that the little bookshop would be a comfortable & cozy setting for the variety of community events that it holds . 📚🪴

Today is the last day to shop the Peru Library Book Sale. Open 10-6. 📚

If you didn't make it to our book sale last week, you're in luck! We have decided to keep it going for a few more days. A lot books have gone, but we still have many to choose from.

This little free library in Albany, New York is a favorite of ours and was a revisit today. The beautiful stained glass door really is everything. 💜💙🩵💚💛🧡♥️

Green Mountain Books and Prints in Lyndonville, Vermont was a treasure trove of used books. The potted houseplants and cozy touches were as welcoming as Kim (the friendly and personable owner) who we chatted with about books, plants, social media, living off grid, her newly hatched baby chicks (that were nice & snug under the heat lamp at the store) and the store’s 50th year in business! 📚🪴🥚🐣

PS- I had total plant envy with her huge jade tree, happy & thriving pilea plant and have some regret for not buying a bookstore tote bag- even though I didn’t actually need it. 😉

This was our first visit to the St Johnsbury (Vermont) Athenaeum. The architecture, art, spiral stair cases, book balcony, seed sharing library, old card catalogs were all fantastic. 📚
