Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission COMMENT POLICY

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) sponsors a number of official social media sites.

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission is dedicated to uniting the region's elected officials, planning professionals, and the public with a common vision of making a great region even greater. Comments posted to social media sites maintained by DVRPC will be monitored and inappropriate content will be removed. DVRPC will remove any prohibited content, including those items that are: (1) not related to DVRPC; (2) profane language or content; (3) content that defames or threatens to defame a person or group of persons; (4) sexual content or links to sexual content; (5) solicitations of commerce; (6) conduct or encouragement of illegal activity; (7) information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems; or, (8) content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party. DVRPC, however, disclaims any and all responsibility and liability for any materials that are prohibited under these guidelines, which cannot be removed in an expeditious and otherwise timely manner. DVRPC welcomes your comments and we encourage you to get involved. Naylor’s Run Trail Planning Progress Update

On Friday, September 25, 2026, Upper Darby Township’s Planning & Zoning Staff hosted a walk with Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Pennsylvania Environmental Council and Pennoni on the Naylor's Run Trail.

The group began their walk at Chapman Park (340 Powelton Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050) along completed sections of the trail, as well as proposed sections of the trail, while discussing the direction of the project, adjacent projects, and future funding.

On April 24, 2026, Upper Darby Township officials hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the Naylor’s Run Trail Section 5A (1500 Garrett Road), a new quarter-mile trail designed to improve connectivity and accessibility within the Township.

The trail segment provides a safe and fully accessible route linking Garrett Road and Marshall Road. Designed with inclusivity in mind, the trail accommodates residents of all ages and abilities, including children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

One of the objectives of the expanding and development of Naylor’s Run Trail is pedestrian and multi-modal connectivity. While also providing our residents with a healthy, safe option to get to them to their destination.

DVRPC’s Shawn Megill Legendre was featured on the innovations panel, moderated by PA State Senator Amanda Cappelletti, and four DVRPC staff members were recognized as Top TDM Professionals Under 40: Hanna Jacobs, Kendra Nelson, Daniel Farina, and Kaylen Phillips (not pictured).
