PA TIP projects MPMS #81744 and #81789 will help construct the Chester Valley Trail Extension to Downington. These two projects will develop a multi-use trail along the alignment of the former Philadelphia and Thorndale Branch, including renovation of the Whitford Bridge and Downingtown Trestle for bicycle and pedestrian use. Last month Abington Township held a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of Phases 1-4 of the Abington–Jenkintown Connections Project. With funding from the Regional Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside (TASA) program, this multi-use trail project has increased sidewalk connectivity, improved transit stop accessibility, enhanced pedestrian and intersection safety, and added additional stormwater facilities. These improvements enhance access between Abington Township and Jenkintown Borough and benefit pedestrians, transit users, motorists, and the surrounding community.

Q: What did you want to be growing up?

A: My grandfather was a high-fashion designer in Mexico City during the 1950s, so I grew up surrounded by fabrics, sketches, glamour, and dramatic personalities. I was completely fascinated by that world and always imagined I’d end up somewhere in the fashion industry. Plot twist: instead of fashion week, I found myself in HR… which honestly still involves managing personalities, trends, and occasional emergencies.
