Today, I was truly honored to join Tree House Books in celebrating their incredible commitment to literacy, learning, and community. 📚❤️

Philadelphia Literacy Day is so much more than an event it is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when organizations, community partners, families, and local leaders come together with a shared purpose: to make books, learning, and opportunity accessible to every child.

It was inspiring to witness firsthand the heart and dedication behind Tree House Books’ Community Outreach and Book Distribution efforts. Their work is creating meaningful connections and opening doors for children and families across Philadelphia.

And the impact speaks for itself. In 2025, Tree House Books distributed an incredible 106,513 books, while their Mobile Library participated in 433 events and site visits, engaging with 182 community partners throughout the year.

I’m incredibly grateful that my office had the opportunity to collaborate and be part of this important work. Partnerships like these remind us that when we work together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of the people we serve.

Yesterday I had the honor of attending the Northwest Victims Services Su***de Prevention Resource Fair at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. ❤️

It was a meaningful reminder that every life matters, every story matters, and no one should have to face their struggles alone. I’m grateful to stand alongside those working to bring hope, support, and resources to our Veterans and our community.

Let’s continue to check on one another, listen without judgment, and remind those who may be struggling that they are never alone. 💙

Serving our community is about showing up, coming together, and making sure our neighbors have what they need.

It was a pleasure hosting our August Welcome to Wellness Pop-Up in partnership with Philabundance. From learning about how to make a healthy budget friendly meal to sharing that meal to connecting with residents and neighbors, the day was a reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the Philabundance team for making this event possible. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community!

We had a great time this weekend bringing together the community and law enforcement with the PA State Police and the Philadelphia 22nd Police District at the first ever Get To Know Us event at Mander Recreation Center 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

We all want to feel safe and get home to our families safely. Thank you to all those who made this event possible and everyone who came out for resources, food, giveaways and good old fashioned fun!
