Today is the first day of school for the students of Cornerstone Christian Academy and I had so much fun greeting and welcoming everyone back for what will no doubt be an amazing year of growth and learning. 📚
 
Thank you to the teachers and administrators for your hard work shaping these young minds, and to the students and parents at Cornerstone and beyond, I wish you a smooth transition back and an excellent academic year! ✏️

Today we remember every life lost to overdose, support families carrying unimaginable grief, and stand with those on the path to recovery.
There is hope. Recovery is possible. Asking for help is a sign of strength not weakness.
Together, we can end stigma and save lives.

Our summer interns did more than learn about public service they got to be a part of it.

From helping neighbors navigate everyday challenges to experiencing firsthand what it means to serve a community, Taryn and George brought great energy to our district office this summer.

Some moments remind you just how powerful it is to see someone continue to walk boldly in their purpose. 💙

It was such a joy to see former Vice President Kamala D. Harris at the National Urban League Conference earlier this month. A special thank you to the National Urban League for bringing us together and reconnecting us. It was a meaningful moment to see you again.

Her journey remains a beautiful representation of possibility, perseverance and purpose and a reminder that even when the road isn’t easy, we KEEP GOING. We keep showing up. We keep striving. We keep making room for those coming behind us.

Her example inspires so many women and girls across this country, myself included, to believe that there is no room we cannot enter and no ceiling we cannot break.

Always wonderful to see you, Madam Vice President. 💙
