Flashback to May!

Horizon Honors Elementary School Grades 5-6 Humanities students spent fourth quarter transforming from history students into published authors!

Each student researched, planned, wrote, and illustrated their own historical fiction children's book set in one of the ancient civilizations studied this year. This ambitious project challenged students to master sophisticated writing skills while exploring concepts such as point of view and the interaction of ideas.

The books showcase an incredible combination of historical understanding, creativity, and artistic talent.
